The "Guangdong Provincial Manufacturing Industry Champion Enterprise" is selected and recognized by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province. It’s also known as the "pinnacle of the manufacturing pyramid," representing the highest level of development and strongest market power in specialized fields within the manufacturing industry. It serves as a typical example of high-quality manufacturing enterprises and as a leading force in "Made in China."
UW Laser's ability to stand out among numerous applicants and receive this prestigious honor is a testament to the company's leading market position, exceptional innovation capabilities, and intelligent manufacturing strength. It also serves as authoritative recognition of UW Laser's contributions to the field of laser welding.
The composite laser welding machine selected this time is our independently developed dual-wavelength laser high-speed composite welding technology. It is also the first time in China that composite welding technology combining fiber laser and semiconductor laser has been used, applied in the welding of power battery top covers, sealing pin terminals, and explosion-proof valves. It effectively reduces welding defects, improves welding efficiency, and maintains a leading market share in the industry.
It not only addresses the shortcomings of traditional laser welding in high-reflectivity metals and high-speed welding but also reduces reliance on imported high-power lasers, driving the localization and industrialization of the domestic laser industry. In May 2018, this technology was awarded the "China’s Industrial Laser Innovation Contribution Award in 2018."
The welding technology based on the combination of blue laser and near-infrared laser increases the laser utilization rate for copper welding from less than 5% with a single wavelength to over 30%. With the dual-wavelength laser composite welding technology, the standard deviation for the penetration depth and width in sealing pin welding can be controlled within 0.03-0.05, providing better stability in the welding process and surpassing the domestic industry average.
