On April 15, 2024, the 2023 "UW-Niu Hanben Scholarship" award ceremony was held in the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering at the Canghai Campus of Shenzhen University. Ms. Luo Meiling, manager of the Marketing Department of United Winners Laser Co., Ltd., as a representative was invited to attend the award ceremony.

"UW-Niu Hanben Scholarship" aims to commemorate the outstanding contributions made by Academician Niu Hanben in the field of laser technology and optoelectronics. The establishment of this scholarship is not only the ardent expectation of UW Laser to the students, but also the encouragement of their proactive, vigorous, realistic and innovative spirit. The total amount of the prize is set at 60,000 yuan each year, with 10,000 yuan for one outstanding doctoral candidate, 10,000 yuan for one outstanding master candidate, and 40,000 yuan for eight outstanding undergraduates.

Since 2005, United Winners Laser has established nearly 20 years of in-depth school-enterprise cooperation with College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Shenzhen University. The scientific research team of College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Shenzhen University led by Academician Niu Hanben has played an important role in the technical research in the field of laser and laser welding as well as the training of talents.

At the beginning of the award ceremony, Lin Bing, secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Physics and Optoelectronics Engineering, warmly welcomed the arrival of the award representatives of United Winners Laser, expressed his thanks to the strong support and funding provided by United Winners Laser for the college to train more outstanding talents, and congratulated the outstanding students who won the 2023 "UW-Niu Hanben Scholarship".

Long Xiaoli, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, made a detailed introduction to the award-winning students. Zhu Yinru, a doctoral student in the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering at Shenzhen University, mentioned that she had got the "UW-Niu Hanben Scholarship” in her sophomore yea. Getting the incentive again is a recognition of her past efforts. The scientific research spirit of Academician Niu inspires her to move forward and supports more and more students in scientific research.

Ms. Luo Meiling delivered a speech on behalf of United Winners Laser. She firstly congratulated the students who got the award. At the end of the ceremony, Liu Liwei, executive vice president of the College, made a speech to conclude. In the warm applause, the leaders and representatives of the school jointly awarded the honorary certificate for the award-winning students.
